IP - INGRESS PROTECTION RATINGS
The Ingress Protection code, classifies the degree of protection given by an enclosure against the touching of live parts, contact with moving parts and protection against the ingress of solid bodies. It additionally specifies protection against the harmful ingress of liquids. Two digits are used to describe its protection rating, called the IP code as defined in EN60529.
